Swiss Tax Return — what you’ll need.

Don’t worry about gathering everything before we speak — we’ll go through it together. Items only apply if they fit your situation.

About you

  • Swiss salary certificates (Lohnausweis)every job, including part-time and second jobs — both spouses
  • Foreign salary or freelance incomepayslips or year-end statements from any non-Swiss employer or client
  • Confirmation of side income (public roles, fees, sitting fees)
  • Periods of unpaid leave during the yearwith brief reason
  • Self-employed: list of assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses

Work-related expenses

  • Travel costs to work (train, bus, bike, car)

  • Swiss pensions (AHV, IV, occupational pension)

Real estate

Foreign real estate is exempt from direct Swiss tax but still declared — it determines the rate on your Swiss income and wealth.

  • Co-ownership accounts (Stockwerkeigentümer)
